What are this year's program dates?
Receipt collection begins on Sep. 1, 2018 and concludes on March 2, 2019. Receipts are due to program headquarters by Mar. 15, 2019 and orders are to be submitted by Mar. 30, 2019.
Are there exclusions on our receipts?
State laws mandate that certain items are ineligible. In most states, alcohol, tobacco, prescriptions, postage, lottery, garbage bags and/or tags, bottle deposits, fuel, Ticketmaster purchases, gift cards, money transfers and certain other transactions will be excluded from the Apples for the Students total.
Do I need to re-register my school each year?
Yes. Every school must register each year to be eligible to join the program.
Can we “adopt” the community & local businesses to help?
Yes. We recommend sending a letter to local businesses, clubs and organizations telling them about your on-going program and to encourage their support. Note: an example of the suggested letter can be found on page 6 of the coordinator instructions in the download section.
How frequently do we need to send in our register tapes to program headquarters?
We recommend you send them in periodically. By doing so you will accumulate points in your school's account. Once points appear in your school's account you can begin redeeming them for FREE educational equipment.
